The Winter Rising Contest 2017 is off as of right now!
The Contest will end Sunday, February 12th!
There are two subcategories for the contest: a plant in winter scenery and a skyscape (any kind of skyscape) featuring winter scenery. YOU CAN SUBMIT ONE ENTRY FOR EACH SUBCATEGORY
. If you need more clarification, just comment and let me know! SUBMITTING ENTRIES:ALL MEDIUMS ARE ACCEPTED FOR BOTH SUBCATEGORIES. You can submit both your entries to the Winter Rising Contest 2017 folder here: flower-meets-sunset.deviantart…
PLEASE NOTICE THAT THE FOLDER IS "Winter Rising Contest 2017"
and not the "Winter Rising Contest" (which was from 2015). Submissions to the "Winter Rising Contest" folder are not allowed, so be sure to submit your entry(ies) to the "Winter Rising Contest 2017" folder. The way I have it set up is that there are 2 submissions allowed per month; however, the contest is lasting longer than a month. Entries should be distinguishable for subcategories. One submission is for one subcategory, and the second is for the other subcategory in case you decide to participate in both. Submissions will not be automatically approved, and I may not get to them right away, but they will be approved within 3 weeks of submission. I will try to get to your submissions as soon as I can - 3 weeks should give me plenty of time. All applicable submissions will be approved by the closing of the contest. If there are any problems with submitting or you need to change your submission for either subcategory, just let me know and I'll help!Prizes:
I don't have points to give for prizes. If someone could donate to the donation pool on my page so I could award prizes, I would appreciate it. Otherwise there will be no points prizes, which is ok too. Guaranteed Prizes for EACH subcategory:
1st Place -- feature on group page, gallery page and group journal entry
2nd Place -- feature on gallery page and group journal entry
3rd Place -- feature in group journal entry
**I will also feature the top 3 in my own personal journal entry.
The contest ends on Sunday, February 12th. When the contest closes, there will be more information on prizes and voting procedures. Voting will *probably* be via journal comments and notes to the group, whichever each individual prefers. If anybody would like to help with the voting process, I would greatly appreciate it!
If you have any questions/ideas/concerns just comment and I'll get back to you ASAP! Thank you!
